Apple has launched the seventh developer beta for its fall OS updates, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2. This update follows the sixth beta released on August 12, 2024, and introduces key refinements as Apple prepares for the official September release.

New Features and Updates

This latest beta introduces several enhancements, such as improved icon tinting and expanded dark mode interfaces. A new Bluetooth toggle enhances user control within the Control Center. Earlier betas added Distraction Control for Safari, improved the Photos app, and introduced new wallpapers for CarPlay and macOS.

Build Numbers and Improvements

Each OS in the beta cycle received updates with new build numbers. The iOS and iPadOS 18 beta advances to build 22A5346a, while tvOS 18 now stands at 22J5353a. WatchOS 11 progresses to build 22R5348a, and macOS Sequoia 15 reaches build 24A5327a. VisionOS 2.0 has also been updated, now at build 22N5314a, replacing the previous version.

Final Preparations for September Release

Apple is finalizing the public release of these operating systems in September. The latest betas focus on refining user interface elements and fixing bugs. Apple encourages developers to test their apps with these beta versions to ensure they are ready for the new features and improvements.

To avoid potential issues, Apple advises users to install beta software only on secondary devices and to maintain regular backups to protect their data.
