Apple Releases Fourth AirPods Pro 2 Beta Firmware for Testers

Apple has rolled out the fourth beta firmware for the AirPods Pro 2. This update, labeled as build version 7A5290a, offers developers the opportunity to test the latest features. Among the highlights are the new head-shaking gestures, enabling users to respond to Siri with a simple nod for “yes” or a shake for “no.”


Enhanced Noise Isolation and Gaming Audio

The new firmware also enhances noise isolation and introduces personalized spatial audio, specifically designed to improve gaming experiences. These upgrades aim to elevate the listening experience, making the AirPods Pro 2 more versatile for a variety of activities.

Accessing the Beta Firmware

To access the beta firmware, developers need a registered account and must enable Developer Mode on their iOS devices. Afterward, they can select their AirPods Pro 2 for the beta testing program. This update is exclusively for the AirPods Pro 2, covering both USB-C and Lightning models, and does not apply to AirPods Max or other devices.
