Apple has introduced a new tool that makes it easier to switch from Apple Music to YouTube Music. The playlist export tool is part of Apple’s data export services. Users can now transfer their Apple Music playlists directly to YouTube Music. To start, users need to log into Apple’s Data and Privacy page. From there, they can select the “Transfer a copy of your data” option and follow the prompts.

A Smooth Transition Process

To use the tool, users need an active Apple Music or iTunes Match subscription. A YouTube Music account is also required. The transfer process might take some time, but Apple will notify users via email once it’s complete. The transferred playlists will appear in the Library tab on YouTube Music, making the switch easy.

Some Limitations Exist

The tool has a few limitations. Songs not available on YouTube Music won’t sync. Curated and collaborative playlists from Apple Music may also not transfer. Despite these restrictions, the feature is a big step forward. Apple’s adoption of this tool, powered by the open-source Data Transfer Project, gives users more flexibility in managing their digital content.
