After a decade, the iconic mobile game Flappy Bird will return to the Apple App Store in 2024. The game’s developer, Dong Nguyen, removed the original version in 2014 due to concerns about its addictive nature. Now, a revamped version is set to launch, bringing excitement to fans both old and new.

The Journey of Flappy Bird

Flappy Bird first soared in 2013, quickly becoming a global hit. The game’s simple, yet challenging gameplay captivated millions of users. At its peak, the app earned over $50,000 daily from in-game ads. However, the intense popularity led Nguyen to take the game down, fearing its negative impact on players.

The new Flappy Bird introduces several fresh features. In addition to the original mode, players will now have access to an easier version designed for casual gamers. A basketball mode and a battle royale mode will also add new challenges, letting players compete against each other in survival-style gameplay.

Moreover, new characters will join Flappy Bird in this release. Trixie, Peng, Tekno, and Quirky, each with unique powers, will enhance the game’s variety. These additions aim to keep the gameplay exciting and engaging.

Awaiting the Release Date

While fans eagerly await the return of Flappy Bird in 2024, an official release date remains unannounced. The game’s website teases its launch as “landing soon,” building anticipation among its long-time followers.

With new features, characters, and modes, Flappy Bird is ready to make its mark in mobile gaming once again.
