Harrison Ford, known for his role in “Shrinking,” also received a nomination. He is up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, facing competitors like Martin Short (“Only Murders in the Building”) and Ted Danson (“A Man on the Inside”).

Ensemble Excellence

“Slow Horses” and “Shrinking” gained recognition for their ensemble casts. The SAG Awards nominated “Slow Horses” for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series, while “Shrinking” earned the same honor in the Comedy category. These nominations underline the exceptional teamwork and acting that drive both shows.

Upcoming Awards Ceremony

The SAG Awards, initially set to announce nominations during a live event, shifted plans due to California wildfires. Despite the change, the awards show will air live on Netflix at 8 PM Eastern on February 23, 2025, hosted by Kristen Bell.

Apple TV+’s Rising Impact

Last year, Apple TV+ earned 11 SAG nominations, propelled by hits like “Ted Lasso.” This year’s recognition for “Slow Horses” and “Shrinking” proves the platform’s ability to deliver compelling dramas and comedies. Apple TV+ continues to establish itself as a competitor among established streaming services.
