Apple has officially launched Apple Invites, a new app designed to help iPhone users plan and manage events effortlessly. Originally rumored as an internal project called Confetti, the app is now publicly available for all iPhone users running iOS 18 or later. With features like custom invitations, RSVP tracking, and collaborative photo albums, Apple Invites aims to make event planning more interactive and user-friendly.

Seamless Event Creation and Management

The app allows users to create personalized invitations using images from their photo library or Apple’s curated collection of backgrounds. Integrated Apple Maps and Weather features provide guests with directions and real-time forecasts for planned events. Hosts can manage invitations, track RSVPs, and control event details from one centralized platform.

One of Apple Invites’ standout features is its ability to create Shared Albums, enabling guests to contribute photos and videos from the event. Additionally, Apple Music subscribers can curate collaborative playlists, allowing attendees to enjoy a shared soundtrack.

iCloud+ Integration and Accessibility

While anyone can RSVP to events created in Apple Invites, only iCloud+ subscribers can generate invitations. The app also works across Apple devices and can be accessed via the web at iCloud.com/invites, ensuring broad compatibility. Notably, invitees do not need an Apple account to participate, making the service more accessible to non-Apple users.

Enhanced Privacy and Customization

Apple has incorporated robust privacy controls, allowing event hosts to manage guest lists and adjust visibility settings. Attendees can choose how their information appears to others and leave event groups at any time. The app also includes a reporting feature, giving users the ability to flag inappropriate events.

Availability and Future Updates

Apple Invites is now available as a free download on the App Store. While Apple has not confirmed global availability, the app has rolled out in key markets, including the U.S. and U.K. Future updates may bring additional features and expanded regional support.

With Apple Invites, Apple continues to enhance its ecosystem, making event planning smoother and more integrated for iPhone users.
