Apple has taken a major step into the professional DJ scene. DJs can now access and mix Apple Music’s massive 100-million-song library directly through supported hardware and software. This feature works seamlessly across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and even Apple Vision Pro.

This update comes through a new feature called “DJ with Apple Music.” It allows real-time access to music for live mixing. Subscribers can tap into curated playlists or use DJ software tools for full control of their sets.

A Creative Boost for DJs

Apple’s global head of dance and electronic music, Stephen Campbell, emphasized the importance of this update. “With this latest integration, we’re taking our support for DJs further,” he said. Apple aims to make music discovery and performance smoother than ever.

Karim Morsy, CEO of Algoriddim—the company behind the popular Djay app—also welcomed the move. He said, “DJs can mix anytime, anywhere,” whether they are beginners or experienced pros. The app now works across mobile, desktop, and spatial platforms, offering flexibility in how DJs create their sound.

Compatible Systems and Tools

Currently, Apple Music integration supports major DJ software and equipment, including:

  • AlphaTheta
  • Serato
  • InMusic’s Engine DJ
  • Denon DJ
  • Numark
  • Rane DJ

Even if DJs don’t use any of these platforms, Apple Music still offers curated playlists like Serato Latin Heat and AlphaTheta Electronic for inspiration.

Not Apple’s First Spin

This isn’t Apple’s first step into the DJ world. In 2022, it introduced DJ Mixes in Spatial Audio and revived its One Mix show. Later, Apple launched Apple Music Club, a radio station dedicated to electronic and dance mixes.

With this new update, Apple reinforces its role not only as a streaming giant but also as a creative partner for artists and DJs around the globe.
