Apple may soon introduce a lighter and more refined version of its Vision headset. A new leak suggests that the company is working on an upgraded battery cable and possibly shifting to a titanium frame for the upcoming model. If true, these changes could mark a major step forward in usability and comfort.

Leaks Reveal New Battery Cable Design

According to tech leaker Kosutami, images show a new battery cable with a near-black woven sheath and dark connectors. One end of the cable features a rounded connector that links to the headset, while the other end has a wider, Lightning-style connector for the external battery pack. Though it resembles the current Lightning design, the pin structure is slightly thicker, possibly for better durability and performance.

A Lighter Frame on the Horizon

This update follows another leak claiming Apple plans to replace the aluminum frame with titanium. The move would make the headset noticeably lighter than the current Vision Pro model. The new color scheme, featuring graphite dark blue tones, suggests that Apple might brand this version as “Vision Air” instead of “Pro.”

Skepticism Around the Leaks

While these leaks have excited many Apple fans, it’s important to remain cautious. Kosutami has had a mixed track record when it comes to Apple rumors. Some of their previous claims about HomePod prototypes turned out to be accurate, while others regarding the Apple Watch missed the mark.

Final Thoughts

If Apple does follow through with these rumored changes, the next Vision headset could offer a much better experience. A lighter frame and a tougher battery cable would address two major user concerns. However, until official announcements are made, all details should be taken with a grain of salt.
